The Broadway location is always amazing. Being able to make an appointment and be seen within minutes of arrival was awesome. What was even better, was having a physician assistant that listened to me and created a treatment plan that would allow me to feel better and take care of my sick little one. Big thanks to Brian Rafferty for seeing me as an individual and helping me feel better! ❤️
Update-I posted a review on yelp. I had someone provide an email address so they could look into the situation. I reached out to the email provided so they can look into this. The Representative responded right away asked for personal information. To find my visit and I have not heard back from them since June 25th, that was the only time they responded to an email. Honestly a joke of a clinic. Don’t waste time or money here.First of all the doctor looked annoyed to be there and was no help at all. I came in because I was having trouble breathing due to a cough. He could have done a breathing treatment or suggested maybe I had bronchitis but no.....He told me I could have Covid -- seriously? Ive had Covid before, I know exactly what it feels like, and this isnt it. Then he said maybe its the flu, but I clearly told him I dont have a fever, no body aches, nothing that fits. So what does he come up with next? A blood clot. A blood clot. He admitted its very unlikely but said its the only thing he could think of based on my symptoms -- which, by the way, dont include any signs of a clot. No swelling, no redness, nothing. But he still tells me to go to the ER for a full work-up. Im not a doctor, but come on -- throwing out blood clot without a shred of supporting evidence is just irresponsible. If I didnt know better, I couldve panicked and rushed to the ER over nothing. I finally had to push just to get a prescription for cough medicine, which he eventually gave me. Honestly, the whole thing was frustrating and borderline ridiculous.
They were quick and fast! I love this doctor’s office! Needed to come in for an emergency check up, and they handled everything with no problem, in handled my worries with no problem and actually helped me with my concerns! I recommend them 100% to anyone! Everyone is so nice and welcoming! Thank you so much everyone for being nice and actually helping and caring for my needs and taking care of me. God bless.
I went in to get stitches for a cut above my eye. I was in and out within an hour. The staff was very friendly, the registration process was easy and everything was explained to me very well. The bedside manner of the providers was supportive, given the reason for the injury. Highly recommend!
My visit to Physicians Immediate Care was a complete fluke. Not only did they drag on my appointment, but they never returned my Identification card. I have yet to have it returned to me. It is safe to say I will not be returning here for any medical needs.
Made my appointment. It was fast and easy. Easy to find. Visit was thorough. I took 1 star away only because in the room the floors showed evidence of other patients debris. Cookie crumbs very noticeable in the middle of the floor and wrappers from medical supplies. Might seem petty but cleanliness is key. Makes me wonder if everything is cleansed after a patient visit. Not trying to throw shade just a teaching moment so this facility in the neighborhood can thrive and take care of patients in a clean environment. I will be returning whenever necessary. Thank you for your bedside manner.
10/10 would recommend. Kind, compassionate, professional, and insanely fast. Had an issue that couldnt wait of a personal nature and they were absolute professionals. Small space, awesome team, if you cant get in to see your doctor and its not an emergent situation, check this place out. Ill definitely be back if the need arises (hopefully it wont, but life is messy). Front desk staff was fast and professional, check in online was easy, intake went quick and painless, doctor was knowledgeable with great bedside manner. Couldnt ask for anything more.
I was really hoping this would be a good experience since it is very close to my house and I was by myself and in a lot of pain. I called and spoke to an automated line, which told me I had a walk-in being held for me. That was followed by a text message prompting me to fill out a form in advance of being seen. I wanted to get there as quickly as I could given the situation and filled it out when I arrived. I was shown through the phone link that I was third in line to be seen. But I waited an hour and no one called me. Other people walked in and scanned the QR code for walk-in appointments and went back ahead of me. The person at desk (not the person who was there when I walked in, because she left for her break) said oh, we dont have your ID on file. I gave her my ID and asked how much longer it would be. She said you are next. But then said, oh wait you are third in line, it says you just checked in 18 minutes ago. She asked for my copay and I said Im not paying unless you can tell me Im going to be seen soon. She said she couldnt tell me that and didnt even get up to ask anyone in the clinic or apologize to me for the error in the booking system. I know I was there for over an hour because my parking app expired and it was for 75 minutes. I walked out.
I arrived at the Edgewater location at 8:20 a.m. to address a medical issue I was experiencing. Upon checking in, I was warmly greeted by the receptionist, which I appreciated. At 8:40 a.m., the assistant nurse called my name, took my vitals, and informed me that the doctor would see me shortly. However, after waiting for an additional half hour without any further communication, I decided to check in with the nursing staff.During this time, I observed the doctor engaged with a computer but was informed that he would not be able to see me. When I inquired about his availability, he responded curtly, Have a good day. This situation was particularly concerning given my condition, which was causing significant discomfort.Feeling increasingly uneasy about the lack of response to my needs, I opted to leave and seek care at a nearby CVS clinic, where I received prompt and attentive service. Unfortunately, the experience at the Edgewater location, particularly regarding the doctor’s demeanor and professionalism, has led me to decide against returning for future care.
Excellent service by both the registration desk and the physicians. I dont like the online paperwork to fill out before earning a spot in line. I would prefer to be in line upon arrival for walk-in instead of who fills out online form first. Just my preference. But overall, excellent!!
Super fast and really nice! I made and appointment and waited about 12 minutes before they called me back. In my book, that’s nothing compared to other urgent care’s. Once examined and vitals taken, I was told I’d have to wait 30-40 minutes before the x ray technician arrived. Waited only 10 minutes before he arrived. In and out under an hour and on the way with the rest of my day. Would Recommend!
My daughter goes to university right by this office, and it seemed like an obvious choice for medical help when she needed it. From the sound of it she got solid and timely care. Which I appreciate a great deal. HOWEVER, trying to untangle the billing has proven to be a nightmare. It appears that PIC used the wrong billing code and getting the customer service rep from Blue Cross to communicate effectively with the billing rep from PIC has been an exercise in futility. SO, so frustrating. Makes me very much consider finding a different provider for her for the next 3 years.
Due to the constant unavailablility of my PCP, when the need arises Physicians Immediate Care have always been able to see me quickly and efficiently. Their assessments are thorough and they take the time to explain their plan of action. On the plus side they are always kind and sympathetic!
I went there to get TB test and chest XRay and I had the best service. Employees were professional and polite. The girl at the reception was very helpful and sweet. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants help! Thank you again.
I have been in Chicago for an extended visit when I became sick with a simple viral sinus infection that became worse in 5 days. The team was professional and PA Brian Rafferty was very kind and took care of what I needed right away. Dealing with insurance when out of state is never fun or easy specially when you are almost incoherent with an illness but possible with this team. Thank you all. I finally feel more like myself 24 hours later
PA Dress was amazing! She could sense my nervousness about what procedure had to be done and provided me with multiple options. She walked me through everything prior, during and after the procedure. The receptionist (did not catch her name) was super helpful and kind. I witnessed her go above and beyond with another patient with a language barrier. I highly recommend this place for your urgent care needs.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: THE EDGEWATER LOCATION NO LONGER TAKES WALK-INS! There is nothing posted online stating that they are by appointment only. I registered online, received a confirmation and a notification that I was third in line. When I arrived, the front desk person addressed me by name and said I couldnt be seen because I didnt have an appointment (apparently my registration was NOT an appointment). Ive had decent care as a walk-in patient in the past; however, if anyones needs are IMMEDIATE, do not go here.
I got lost in committee at my PCP office and knew I needed antibiotics, so came to Immediate Care. The receptionist immediately told me that if I could provide my Medicare as well as my insurance card, I would not have a bill to pay. I went home to get it, and my place in line was kept. Soon as I got back (to see the bill go to $0) I was seeing the PA, who examined me quickly, told me I should come back for a chest X-ray if I experienced pain there, and called in the prescription. She was very professional, as was the receptionist. This THING that has plagued me for nearly two weeks now is finally on the mend. From now on I’ll do my wellness visits at the PCP but come here when I’m sick.PS: a month later I was billed for $65. A bargain, but I would think they’d have the etiquette to let me know I might have a bill later. Probably it has to do with the parent company doing the billing. Tried to call and say that but there is no human being on their phones.
The wait time was reasonable compared to our appointment but they miscoded a diagnosis so that our insurance cant cover it. My wife and I have now been on hold for cumulative hours and they refuse to address the issue (or to let us know how we can pay the bill). They have hung up on us multiple times for no reason. The in-person experience was totally fine for urgent care but the error they made and later inability to help us resolve it is terrible.
Would love to have someone explain the policy of front desk staff not spearheading intake forms or assisting patients when they need help. It’s dangerous to assume that patients understand everything. I asked staff for help and they said no. I asked for a reason and they said “there is no reason I just don’t.” Staff are rude to patients, as if they forget we’re coming here for medical help. And then they sent my Rx from edgewater to glenlake???????Edit: there’s a staff member here who says this isn’t her usual location and she’s commenting on how poorly the place is running. So maybe figure your stuff out, PIC.
I had an excellent experience with physicians immediate care yesterday. I suspected that I had pneumonia and I was seen immediately, received the proper diagnosis and the proper medications. And was treated very well by all the providers and staff there. I would definitely recommend this site.
Mr. Buckingham was amazing. The service was fast and professional. The beside manner of Mr. Buckingham was personable, friendly, informative, and reassuring. This place truly cares about its patients. Go here if you need help with your health!
This location has always come through for me. There is usually a wait, maybe 30-60 minutes even with an appointment, so I’d recommend getting there as early as possible to get in the queue. The doctors and PAs are always friendly, efficient, and helpful. They are busy but still explain what you need to know. Most of the test results come back in around 15 minutes, which is also helpful. This place is my go-to.
Despite a completely empty lobby, I was refused any sort of estimate on cost of services before being seen. I made sure to express that I just wanted to know initial costs of the visit and was just told that I would not be able to know what I was paying until I was already charged. Save your time coming here if you want up front pricing.
Scheduled my Sunday appointment via their website (chose earliest appt, in 3 hrs), waited only 20 minutes to be seen after arrival. I was assessed and tested quickly, diagnosed after results, and was out the door within an hour total. Professional staff; clean facilities. It’s my second visit here; happy to have them nearby for emergencies when I can’t see my PCP.
I went with a specific issue, and after a thorough assessment, treatment plan was recommended and the results were remarkable, and I truly appreciate the expertise I received. Its like magic. I highly recommend physicians immediate care.Superb.
I took a bad fall on the ice and decided on urgent care because I thought Id need xrays. Very good experience here: easy to schedule, very friendly staff, helpful and patient. Everything was smooth and well organized.
I was immediately attended to , the nurse was very helpful and know what to do , rhe DrDoctor was fantastic, I was completely well in 3 days, also help me to thank the receptionist she is so caring and compassionate. God bless them all🙏 .
From the moment I started completing the registration forms online, to my first encounter with the wonderful, professional, committed and highly talented intake team at the front desk, to the lovely man who did my chest x-ray and the wonderful physician who tended to me, as well as the nurse practitioner who took my vitals and did my workup, this urgent care team has was on time and incredibly efficient!I give the entire team five stars on all counts!
We thought my 11 year old broke her big toe so we came to Physicians Immediate Care on Broadway. They were quick, efficient and diagnosed the toe properly (it wasn’t broken, just badly bruised). My daughter was better within a few days after. I’m so thankful to have an urgent care like this nearby for things like this!
They were very patient and professional with me when I was not at my best. Thank goodness for this place! My GP doc is booked months in advance. If you need timely care but not the ER, this is the place to go.
I walked in on a Wednesday afternoon and was seen very quickly. Front desk, MA, and PA were all great. I think I was in and out of there in 30 minutes and at the time feeling awful just wanting to get back to bed so that was amazing.
Great experience with the Physicians Immediate Care clinic. I only waited a few minutes before being seen. The team was professional, thorough, and everyone was very kind. Thank you very much!
I had to wait a few hours for an appointment, but it was worth it. The doctor was very kind and thorough, and I got a diagnosis straight away. The medication prescribed worked wonderfully. Highly recommended.
Dr. Brian took excellent care of me during my visit yesterday. He was kind, attentive, and made me feel at ease. I truly appreciate his professionalism and compassion!
Allen Thomas is a great doctor. He was very thorough and took good care of my daughter and me, who both were diagnosed with the flu. We waited a long time to be seen, but thats not his fault. Thank you, Doctor Thomas!
What an amazing experience after the nurse in the ER at a local hospital told me that theyre doing really great and they would probably be able to see me in two hours! I was bleeding intensely from a knife cut while cutting a box apart and that didnt seem to matter. I was able to call Physicians immediate care and was assured that I would be taken right in. When I arrived, thats exactly what happened. Within 30 minutes I was out, no more bleeding and ready to go back to work. They were absolutely amazing!
The Dr was great but the two gals at the front desk were very loud and not professional. Waiting room full of sick patients and they are laughing and talking loud about how they “ghosted a guy”. Really annoying experience with them but again, the Dr was professional and nice.
Made an appointment, fast and easy. Nurse/doctors are friendly and patient. Wish it was a 24 hour clinic but we can’t always get what we want!
I had such a great experience at Physicians Immediate Care (now WellNow Urgent Care)! PA Darcy Elliott and PA Patrick Stagg were incredibly sweet, personable, and professional. The whole crew was kind, and the check-in process was quick and easy. Minimal wait times, efficient service, and a great overall experience. Highly recommend!
DO NOT COME HERE. I would give ZERO stars if I could. Absolutely RIDICULOUS waiting time. The workers aren’t working at ALL they are literally lounging around, cracking jokes and scrolling in their phones. Highly disappointed and annoyed. This is why I asked for a wait time BEFORE I sit down for my appointment, time to find a new physician. Don’t recommend, 0/10.
This is my experience as of today, speaking with a representative on the phone:As a former patient of this clinic, my last appt was 10 days ago and I called in to see if I could possibly get a refill for a prescription for an infection, I know its possible because I had it done last year, same clinic, same infection. The man on the phone told me that Id have to schedule an appt to be evaluated, I told him it would be difficult for me to give another $60 to treat the same issue that I had last week, and he said in a very condescending tone did you want me to repeat myself?, I am poor, not deaf. When I asked to speak with the last doctor that I saw, the man said is there anything that i can help you with?. I dont understand the need to be rude?? As if you did not hear me speak for the last few minutes? Connecting me to a doctor is how you can help me???
I had travel to Chicago 3 days before my daughter would be induced for the birth of her baby. Her family was sick with the flu when I arrived. They had been put on a prescription as the baby was being induced in 2 days. The hospital rule was I needed a nasal swab.. the results immediately and a prescription filled if I tested positive ALL BEFORE I could be with my daughter and new baby in the hospital. This was a very STRESSFUL time. I do not live in Chicago. I had to find a clinic that would.. test with a the nasal swab … give me the results immediately, and a clinic that could give me a prescription. I started dialing at 8:00 amCVS clinics.. Walgreen Clinics, and walk-in clinics. They were Always answered by an AUTOMATED SYSTEM that WILL NOT give you a real person… OR the clinic’s ONLY option is for YOU to schedule an online appointment WITHOUT being able to ask about the 3 things I needed.I FINALLY found Physicians Immediate Care.A PERSON answered I COULD DO all three things I needed!! I walked in … waited 20 mins … got my nasal swab… the physician returned with the results in 20 mins!!! My test was negative!!!It’s 11:00a.m. I now can go be with my daughter in the hospital.Thank you Physicians Immediate Care!It was a healthy Baby Boy 🙌 Rhonda R
I brought my son in on Christmas Day when he wouldn’t stop coughing until he was gagging. We were from out of state. The providers here were all fantastic. They treated him quick and called in appropriate prescriptions. 10/10 would recommend
What a wonderful experience at this Urgent Care. I had a quick minute clinic type need for a prescription that I had been putting off because I really did not want to schedule and go to my PCP, which always takes a lot of time in the day, but did not have an appointment. I know that I likely lucked out, but there were only two people waiting when I got there allowing me to walk in and be out the door in less than an hour. Not only was the logistics of this visit great, the desk rep was sweet, the assistant that took my vitals was super nice, and the provider was a hoot! Everyone was professional, empathetic, knowledgeable, and due to the wonderful personality and clear communication of the provider I honestly left feeling better than I went in even though my mality (just a plugged ear) was not yet cured.I dont know that in my 9 years of going to this place, I have ever had a bad experience, and this was without a question my best experience yet. Thanks to this team! Now on the mend!
First, the receptionist was very nice and helpful in filling the eletronic checkin. She had to help me several time and was very nice to me. I was seen promply by very professional and pleasent staff. Five star experience!!
Went in person, had to register, did. Wait time 1.5 hrs. Went home to wait. Checked wait list non stop for 1.5 hrs. When I was #2 on the list my name disappeared. Called them. They said they called my phone. I never received any calls from them on my phone. They said Id have to go to the back of the wait-list to be seen.
Thank you for asking. After I left I called PIC to say thank them for their helpfulness and kindness and I appreciate this opportunity to let those above them know how happy I am about my experience there. Also, the CVS next door had my prescription waiting for me when I walked up to the counter a few minutes later. 😊
Dominique (triage) and Rachel (PA-C) were lovely. Attentive, efficient and ran all tests to ensure I had the info I needed + doctors note for work. Also really nice people-not the norm with other urgent care locations and staff I have experienced. Suggest going as soon as they open for walk-in or make an appt if you’ll be there after 10AM. Walgreens and CVS next door make it a breeze to pick up meds. Highly recommend and will be going back (hopefully not anytime soon 😊).
This is my second time going here, super easy to set up an account and an appointment, staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Only downside was the wait for my appointment was kind of long but I understand thats out of their control for the most part.
The staff has been amazing, and the services provided have been great (we visited this facility multiple times in the past, and the last time was in December 2024). However, beware of their new billing practices. Unlike other urgent care facilities, they bill you for services provided at urgent facility (I assume CPT code S9088 in addition to E/M code) as well as after-hours care if you come on Saturday or Sunday, which most insurances will not cover. You will be stuck with their bill (in addition to your regular copay or co-insurance). I have never experienced such billing practices at any other urgent care facilities (and in all honesty, nothing like happened at this provider until last year). If you ever go to them, put on their financial agreement a stipulation that you are responsible only for copay/co-insurance after your insurance company pays.
Easy to make an appointment online. I was in and out. All went smoothly and all 3 people I interacted with were great and knowledgeable.
Was skeptical at first but when you’re coughing your brains out for 7 days or more and it’s a Saturday it’s a great resource to have - saw Patrick at the 6100 block of Broadway and Granville and am happy to report that I got a thorough treatment, chest xray and a prompt prescription that took care of my issue. Friendly staff, very helpful and follow through was great!
Staff and medical team were courteous, professional, and efficient. I was in/out in 30 minutes! Check in was super easy and the business hours were convenient. I would definitely consider visiting again the next time I need urgent care.
Go here if you want to be charged $800 for a strep test and a PCR test! WITH insurance.Edit: despite the urgent care telling me to email them in their reply to this review, they did not resolve the matter, denied my appeal, and are otherwise unresponsive.
I have always had a positive experience here. The assistants and nurse practitioners are attentive and patient. They have always directed me towards a positive outcome. Even the wait is short compared to pretty much anywhere else I have been. I am so grateful to here them nearby.
I took my grand baby Olivier and Dr patrick and his nurse was very nice and patient with the little one and very professional too thank you. Even the front desk personnel was very helpful.
Ms. Hobson (PA) was amazing. She was great with my 3 year old daughter, got her in asap and diagnosed her and got her meds all very quickly. She will be my go-to for urgent care going forward.
My physician associate was very thorough in her treatment and diagnosis. I had been ill with the flu/cold for 7-days. After the fevers subsided, I was still stricken with a horrible cough and was also unable to sleep due to the continuous coughing. She did a COVID test, heard wheezing and did x-ray to rule out pneumonia. I’m elderly so she made sure she checked for everything. My breathing was labored and she gave me a treatment in the office. Prescribed medication that would help with coughing day and night. Great care!
Great experience, called and made appt the day before. Waited a little bit after checked in. Nice staff. Patrick was nice and thorough.
We took our daughter here a few weeks ago. She had a pretty bad virus and they made her feel really comfortable! Maria and Angela both were just amazing. They took tons of test of course. The normal routine clinics do. But how they treated our family really made the difference. This current visit was no different. I was the patient this time. Answering all my thousand questions sincerely and made me feel I was being heard with empathy! And I was lucky enough again to get both Angela and maria! Thanks again to you both and the entire Physicians Immediate Care Team!Ron,
Such an awesome community walk-in clinic! Wait time present but quite fair and well managed in comfortable, clean waiting rooms. Emma, my provider was very friendly, kind, thorough and professional. All staff was efficient making my visit a home run!
Suffered a 2nd degree burns on my.legs and lap, this doctor was the best. I couldnt sit to drive to Northwestern a d he was close. Couldnt have been happier with the help
I recently visited Physicians Immediately Care in Edgewater on Broadway near Granville. I did schedule an appointment in advance and was seen shortly after my scheduled appointment time. I had been feeling unwell for awhile (cough, mucus, sore throat, congestion, slight fever. The team asked all of the important questions and completed a thorough assessment. They also tested me for the flu and COVID (both negative). Ultimately I had a viral infection which I suspected. They prescribed antibiotics and within a week I was feeling better. Facility was nothing special but it was clean. Staff was polite and professional.
I had a terrible experience with Physicians Immediate Care and would not recommend this place to anyone. I visited them with BCBS insurance and was told I only needed to pay my $35 copay—which I did at the time of service. However, later, they billed me an additional $50 and even sent the balance to a debt collector! After calling my insurance, I found out that they used incorrect billing codes that didn’t even apply to the service I received. This means they either incompetently or intentionally overbilled me. When I tried to resolve the issue, they were unhelpful and refused to take responsibility. This clinic cannot be trusted. If you go here, be prepared to double-check your insurance claims and fight unexpected bills. It’s unacceptable for a healthcare provider to lie about costs upfront and then surprise patients with additional charges. Avoid this place unless you want a billing nightmare
My husband and I visited on December 2nd for a COVID test and a consultation that lasted less than 10 minutes. The provider who saw us appeared to be a nurse practitioner, not a doctor. They prescribed an albuterol inhaler for my husband and sent the prescription to CVS. While still at the facility, my husband asked if the prescription could be sent to the Walgreens on Ridge, as CVS was closing soon. They assured us they would send it.However, CVS never received the prescription, and when we went to Walgreens, they refused to fill it, claiming they had only received a request for a refill and that it was too early for one. The next day, we called Physicians Immediate Care, and their response was rude, telling us it was our insurance’s issue and not their fault. After reviewing the claim with Cigna, I discovered the problem was actually on their end, not with our insurance. We were charged nearly $300 each for a 10-minute visit, a COVID test we could have done at home, and a prescription that my husband never received. This is unacceptable, and I intend to take further action.
I went in thinking I had Bronchitis and waited for about 5 minutes to see Patrick. The woman at the front desk (Lori, perhaps? Sorry if I’m wrong!) was very kind and helpful! I was triaged by a medical assistant (also don’t remember her name but she was lovely) right away and Patrick stepped in shortly after. He asked what brought me in and actually listened to my rattled list of symptoms. I was diagnosed, prescribed and sent on my way within 20 minutes. And the medications cleared what turned out to be a wicked cold right up! They were even able to provide me a doctor’s note the week after for my employer. Thank you all for what you do. It’s very much appreciated.
Initially, I called the PIC located on Western. I specifically wanted a female practitioner. They didnt have one so they referred me to the Edgewater location.Everyone I encountered at both locations were extremely kind, compassionate and efficient. A special shoutout goes to Rachel. She is the practioner who saw me. She listened to all of my ramblings and offered several acceptable solutions from which I could choose what worked best for me.I appreciated their expertise, compassion and the general vibe they created. I would not hesitate to come back to any Physicians Immediate Care location after my experience.
Despite having made an appointment and completed all forms ahead of time I had to wait about 1 hour 15 minutes -not horrible. Both the PA and APN were thorough in their assessments especially the APN.
Everyone I interacted with was both very friendly and professional. The wait time was average for an “urgent care” sort of operation. The facility was very clean and I left feeling confident that the doctor and staff listened and cared about their patients and interactions. I hope that I don’t need to go back but it’s good to know they’re in my neighborhood if I need them.
Phenomenally smooth and efficient check-in, care provision, and payment process, and the doctor, nurse, and front desk staff were polite and communicative. I was seen immediately after completing my online check in, and maybe spent a total of 25 minutes, in and out, for a dog bite wound.
The providers and staff are wonderful. The process to be seen is easy, quick, and very convenient. I have had nothing but positive experiences here. I’m very grateful to the team for their care and treatment!
Everyone was very kind, no wait time, and Asia was very thorough and helpful.
Super friendly and professional staff. Got me right in ahead of expected time and a very busy office. Highly recommend this location!!
Very friendly staff ! They were attentive and seemed. To care about my well being and seemed to support each other in caring for patients. Definitely would recommend this particular office to.family and friends
Everyone was so incredibly kind- nurse Ashley was amazing at calming my nerves for a potential scary thing and my doctor (forgot his name I’m sorry!) was so attentive and I really felt taken care of. Will def be back (well, hopefully not but if needed I will be lol)EDIT: I had to go again after a car accident and they were truly wonderful. Door person was a little overwhelmed and sharp but the providers really know their stuff and I felt very taken care of. Wish I could give 5 stars again! This is always going to be my first stop when Im sick. Thank you staff!!!
Awful. Made me wait two hours after my “reserved time” to even be triaged in the back. Didn’t even see a doctor, no one checked on me. Literally no point to reserving a time if they will just make you wait for hours. Absolutely awful experience and a waste of time
Took my dad after he fell, they took us in right away even though it was almost closing time. Took multiple xrays, cleaned the wound, checked for concussion. No one rushed or made us feel that we need to rush for the office to close. Very professional, very knowledgeable. Thank you!
I had a persistent bloody nose occur suddenly a week after a traumatic nose fracture accident. It was a scary experience. The nurse tech and the PA Michael were very helpful and compassionate. They were good at communicating my likely diagnoses and treatment options. I was seen within an hour of making an appointment online. The visit cost $75 up front on my credit card. Not sure whether there will be any further bills after insurance processes any specific treatment charges.
The entire visit was quick and efficient. The doctor easily diagnosed my issue and explained things clearly and patiently. Every medical/staff person I interacted with was pleasant and friendly.
The whole experience was very professional, yet friendly. I didnt have to wait long, and I felt they took their time with me. A great experience, except for the website which made several mistakes with my appointment.
Recently had to visit this site and I’m so glad I did! The staff was courteous, the facilities were clean, the wait time was minimal, and the check-in process was very easy. Patrick S. was fast, efficient, and explained to me what was going on in a way that I’d understand without sounding condescending. It was a great experience all around!
Wait was not as long as I expected it to be. Once in the back I was also met quickly. Anum Haq was a great provider of care and would recommend her highly!
I love coming here it is so conveniently located especially because I am physically disabled In a wheelchair and it accepts my medicare, I had to wait a little Because there were people ahead of me but I was able to leave the vicinity and they texted me or called me Which was great- for a walk-in appt.; otherwise registration is convenient and easy online.
I keep forgetting the convenience and efficiency of using clinics like these. This one in particular was wonderful. Near my place. Got in and saw a doctor earlier than planned and out in 20 min. Remember your health is the most important thing without it nothing is possible. I believe they take all insurance and if you have Medicaid there is either no fee or a minimal fee. Just call them.In Good Health!E.
I went in to the 6140 N Broadway clinic with burning chest pains that I thought could be easily remedied - which they were. But the staff were thorough enough to run an x-ray and ECG on me to discover that there was cause to send me to the emergency room at my hospital. After I arrived it was discovered that I had an infection in the lining of my heart that needed to be addressed over a four day stay.I dont want to be dramatic, but the attentiveness and advice of the staff at the Broadway clinic may have saved my life. Thank you.
The staff were extremely polite and helpful. Apparently this facility has been bought out by ‘well now’ or something within the last month. I made a reservation, arrived on time, and they asked me to pay immediately before I even knew what services were needed. I proceeded to wait nearly an hour in the lobby with my fussy four month old to then be told they did not carry the type of test I needed. They refunded my money but said it will take a few days to process. I asked if there was anyway I could have checked prior to my appointment and they said no, the new company just wanted to get people in to pay. Unacceptable.
Patrick Stagg was very professional, personable, and efficient. I appreciated how he took his time to understand the impact of my symptoms, and then provided the best path to wellness. Additionally, the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. I’ll definitely visit again!
Brian the doctor was friendly caring and extremely competent and knowlegeable Score of 10+ Jerry Miller
Fast, efficient and knowledgeable, I was treated and out in a timely manner.
10/10 customer service. Everyone was so nice! Highly recommended. Thank you all so much for taking me in!
I was very sick and I walked in without an appointment and they saw me and diagnosed my condition and sent my prescription to the pharmacy.Very nice and professional service and I really didn’t have to wait long to be seen!
Clean facility, professional and polite staff. Felt like I was listened to and cared about. This will be my go to location should an immediate need rise again!!!
They were quick and efficient they diagnosed the pain I was having and prescribed meds that will help also they gave great recommendations on how to handle my pain, this beats waiting in an emergency room for 6 hours.👍
Made an appointment for 10:12, didn’t get seen by a doctor until 11:20. The appointment system makes no sense so don’t waste your time making them.
Every aspect of My visit was exceptional: clean, calm and orderly. The Receptionist who registered Me, the MA who took My vitals and the Physician were each so pleasant and knowledgeable that I left feeling well tended to and even comforted.
Great experience again at Physicians Immediately Care/Wellcare. The staff was great, and the medical team was caring, helpful, and profesional.
Worst place to visit. the receptionist got my address wrong. she didnt take a copay the day of my visit. i was kept waiting for 45 minutes (only one other person waiting) and when the intern did see me he rushed it in 5 minutes. i have since been trying to get hold of their billing dept but no one answers the phone so at this point i dont know if i owe them anything or if they sent a bill to the wrong address that they had on file for me! i had also confirmed the address with another assistance inside their office and she said she would update my address but no one did. its a nightmare dealing with that office.
All members of the staff treated me promptly and with respect, and they immediately understood my situation, a cat bite, and provided fast and efficient treatment. I had a very short wait. I wish they had more parking in their small lot but I found street parking easily though it required payment.
I have not ever had a medical experience like this. I went in with questions but I also got a lot of questions. I seen Emma and she was so patient and so attentive I really appreciated her. I would only go to this location bc all of the staff were so kind and helpful.
I dont understand why there are low scores posted on the Urgent Care facility. I guess I cant speak to their experience but mine was fantastic. I was having trouble walking to the facility so my partner went for help. They gave him a wheelchair so while I was a block and 1/2 away made my travel easy. I did not wait long to be seen and the doctor was amazing. If you need medical, I would recommend this Urgent Care.
Everyone was very nice and attentive. Check in was through your phone when you got there and was pretty simple.
Kind, caring, and efficient. That’s how I describe the great staff at this branch. Got the care I was hoping for.
Beware: I went to the physicians immediate care and while the staff were friendly & helpful, ever since they merged with Wellnow their insurance & payment policies are predatory. They accepted my insurance information in the online check in form and then proceeded to charge me the full amount for a self pay visit and didn’t even bill my insurance. They also didn’t send me a receipt so I can’t submit to my insurance company. I called a few weeks ago and the man on the phone said they would submit to my insurance. Guess who never did? I just got a bill for the labs from Quest as well and guess who didn’t send along my insurance information? Now I have to call them as well. The headache of them messing up that bad doesn’t make the services worth it.
I had severe back pain and chose this location on a recommendation. I arrived mid-morning without an appointment and was seen within a few minutes. The woman at the front offered me water and a snack while I was waiting which was kind and much appreciated. The staff all showed patience and care during my visit and helped me with the pain. Would revisit for sure.
Where do I begin.... Ok, well, Ill try to keep it short. About 2 weeks ago I had a tooth pulled, the dentist did great and I was happy with the way the healing went in my mouth, but as far as being able to open my mouth completely. It was impossible unless I endured extreme pain on the left side of my jaw which proceeded to cause inflammation and soreness on my ear as well. So basically I was just hearing a loud pop any and every time I try to eat I was definitely in fear. So yesterday I gave in and proceeded to go see who has, in only 24 hours, giving me a successful outcome where I can now open my mouth so much more and I dont even hear the popping noise half as loud and let me remind you. Thats only 24 hours so I owe a huge thank you. Thank you! Thank you to the one and only Dr. Michael Cecchetto!!!Dr. Michael Cecchetto, knew exactly what I was going through. He was knowledgeable. He was kind. He came in with a smile and had me leaving with whatever smile I could show due to the pain, but he took a look and he immediately knew what pain and agony I was going through from not only being able to lack sleep because I was unable to sleep from the pain. He prescribed me with the medication that has already brightened my life once again. So I just owe him a huge thank you and Im so blessed and grateful to God for his ability to be so smart and so friendly to help me get through this whole mouth/ dentist issue. So thank you so much anyone and everyone who needs to be seen for anything I would definitely recommend going to see Dr. Michael Cecchetto. 🔟/🔟 Grateful!Blessings-in-Blessings🫂♡Zachary Niles Thurmond
This is my 2nd time visiting this location and I have always been pleased. Dr.Rachel Dress is amazing as was Dominique N. The young lady who triaged me. Convenient location, and friendly front desk staff. Due to unbearable circumstances I had cancelled an evening appointment and decided to take my chances and walk in understanding there could be a wait. Thank you staff for your , accommodations, kindness and attentiveness. Amazing job!
Two stars because the actual care I receive here is generally excellent. But if you go here, keep on them meticulously about billing. I went for an UC visit in 2022, paid my copay, and never received a further bill for services. It turns out they billed my insurance, messed up the paperwork, didnt resend when requested, and just held onto the bill for two years without sending it to me. I finally received a bill in April of 2024 with a due date of that month. After calling back and forth between the urgent care center and my insurance, I came to find they had reported my bill to collections before their *posted* due date, which was, again, two years after the urgent care visit. This was the first thing I had ever had sent to collections, and it was extremely frustrating to have to deal with.Again, the care I receive here, I have no complaints about. But their administrative/billing team probably needs better training or more quality checking.
I went to this office yesterday to deal with a potentially embarrassing issue. I was able to be seen by a PA within 30 minutes of arrival. The nurse, Shauna, and PA, Patrick, were fantastic! They listened to me closely and they told me I didnt have to feel embarrassed. I know I was babbling a little bit at one point, but they never tried to rush me. I felt very comfortable. Also, Cindy at the check-in desk was lovely. She was patient and kind with a great attitude.I had a great experience there!
Great, efficient and hospitable service from the receptionist to the nurse to the doctor. Very impressed!
This place is great— everyone is so attentive and I didn’t wait long for my appointment. It’s wonderful to have this in the neighborhood. Highly recommend if you’re sick.
I started experiencing symptoms of cellulitis at 12-1 pm and made an appointment at 6 pm, the office was able to see me at 6:45 and took immediate action with treatment, and I got on antibiotics the next morning. Really appreciated everyone’s quick response and kindness at the office!
My entire experience was excellent. I was able to reserve a time and check in online. I only waited a few minutes when I arrived. The tech that did all of my vitals was excellent. The provider that saw me was excellent. Very friendly, and thorough. I felt so comfortable and cared for. I had an issue with the prescription they gave me and they went above and beyond to get it resolved. I am 1000% satisfied with the whole experience.
My visit at physicians immediate care was excellent. The nurse and xray technician were very personable and efficient. The PA, Patrick, was outstanding. He was easy to talk to, attentive, knowledgeable and provided medical information in an relatable manner.
I had never visited an immediate care clinic, they are wonderful, have exceptional service and make you feel unstoppable. while you visit them. The treatment they gave me for my symptoms healed me in the stipulated time. The staff that cares for you are the best I have ever met, from the front desk to the doctor who says goodbye to you.
The staff is very nice I will say that. But if you have insurance DO NOT USE YOUR INSURANCE here because they will charge your insurance over $700 and then you have to pay $400 on top of the $168 they request when you come in. If it’s self pay it’s $168. I still have to pay the remaining balance they will not adjust it for me.
Doctor Patrick was great with my daughter, calm and smiley. He explained everything to us.Update: After 2 weeks of visiting the first time I got sick. Thank got this clinic is really close to home. I booked an appointment the next day. The doctor helped me a lot. I already feel better!!
Easy scheduling or as a walk-in - no longer wait times and helpful, knowledgeable staff.
I am disappointed with my recent experience at Physicians Immediate Care. Despite being told the wait time would be approximately 20-30 minutes, I ended up waiting for nearly 70 minutes before my turn. Even more frustrating was the fact that someone who arrived after me and checked in after me was seen ahead of me when it was my turn. This made me feel discriminated against and treated unfairly. It was a complete waste of my time and left me feeling extremely disappointed. I would advise others to seek care from a regular doctor instead, as the wait times are comparable and there is nothing immediate about the service provided here.My only option: Walk away and never return.
I’ve always had extremely positive experiences with this clinic. The entire staff are friendly, accommodating, welcoming and thorough. I visit the one in Edgewater and have never had less than a stellar experience.
To whom it may concern, the attending physician + staff was very professional while accessing my medical care and I would certainly recommend this facility to anyone who is seeking medical attention for any medical issues etc :)
This place seems to have good doctors, but the receptionists are extremely rude.During my visit I was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection requiring an antibiotic. I was given Amoxicillin, and in my sick state it slipped my mind that my girlfriend has a very severe allergy to any penicillin-based medication and we are both uncomfortable with me taking them because of danger of cross-contamination.I called the clinic back and spoke to a receptionist who was extremely dismissive and rude about my request. I asked her if she could simply have the doctor prescribe me a different medication that is not penicillin-based. Her response was rudely stating, No, the doctor will not prescribe you another medication. Just take the pill and wash the glass and you will be fine. Then she literally hung up on me!I was appalled and immediately called back, getting the same woman. She was again rude, and when I told her that she hung up on me, she apologized in a mocking sing-song voice. I demanded to speak to a manager, and she refused, telling me that there was no one there in charge above her. Apparently to try to get rid of me, she asked if I wanted to speak directly to a doctor and I said yes. So guess what? She put me on hold for over 5 minutes before my call was transferred to an empty voicemail box with no name, and one which is clearly never checked, because no one from the clinic ever returned my call.I am absolutely appalled by this level of customer service and I will never return to this location under any circumstances. These people should be ashamed of themselves for treating sick people in this manner. Thoroughly disgusted. I have never been treated so poorly by customer service anywhere in my life.
The times I or my husband have gone here, we made an appointment, and we were taken back in a very timely fashion. The PAs we had were kind and helpful. They were able to address our issues and help resolve them.
I waited over 30 minutes to be seen after making an appointment the day before. The staff were either not wearing masks or wearing them under their noses, despite large signs everywhere about the companys commitment to infection control that say masks required! It made me wonder if the claims on those signs about air quality and cleanliness were also a lie. I wouldnt recommend this location to anyone who is immunocompromised in any way.The facility did not even have basic diagnostic equipment (could not perform an EKG or blood test) and I was told I should go to the ER (where they...performed and EKG and blood test. Except for hundreds of dollars and hours more than it would have been at an urgent care). There was loud music playing somewhere in the treatment area the whole time I was there - not great for patients dealing with headaches (one of my symptoms)!
Patrick and Linda were so kind, compassionate and thorough! I felt heard and seen and like they really cared! Thank you so much
I had a gash in my finger that required six stitches. Everybody from the moment I walked in to the moment I left was very caring human professional and just nice. Trey Owens was amazing in terms of his knowledge his care his personality and his concern for the patient.
Very well run medical office. The receptionist was pleasant and efficient. I was seen right at appointment time with no delays. The Doctor was super friendly engaging. This Urgent Care is clearly a much needed addition to the neighborhood. I will certainly use it again in the future.
I came in, without appointment, from the street, and was seen by a doctor within half hour. I had a problem with my eye, so after an examination the doctor explained to me what was going on and prescribed some antibiotic drops, which I was able to get from the nearby Walgreens after another hour, and to start my treatment. The staff and the doctor in this place are amazing!
Dr Rachel dress she was very professional shes a good listener and by the end of your checkup she made sure she explain to you everything on the top of the recovering process. Very friendly prices are very reasonable since I paid for my pocket. And special thanks to the black young lady who was with me in every step and was very professional and friendly. CVS was my first option which is disappointing. But me going to Immediate Care was the best choice.
The best urgent care experience. The PA, Patrick was thorough and quick at the same time. The MA and receptionist were very friendly too. I think I waited about 35 minutes with 4 people ahead of me, which is not too bad. They seem like they prioritize taking their time with patients over getting people in and out.
I took my baby in after she struggled with a cough for 7 weeks. The PA we met with was knowledgeable, confident and kind. He was able to diagnosed my daughter quickly, and prescribed a medication that stopped the cough after 5 days of use. Im very happy that we did not end up at the hospital with worse problems. Thank you.
Service with this clinic was unbelievably horrendous. I received a bill from the clinic and I paid. When I went a second time, the clinic stated that they did not receive my payment. Upon proof of documentation, the clinic agreed to see me. I just went to see the clinic because I was sick and the front desk stated that I still have to pay. I showed them that I paid the past due balance. My appointment time had passed and I asked when I would be seen. The receptionist stated “if you don’t like it here, you can go somewhere else”. The clinic then refused to see me and stated I raised my voice. The receptionist at the clinic was rude and disrespectful to me throughout the entire time today.
Terrible experience. First off, the young woman I spoke with on the phone immediately showed poor communication skills from the start of the call. Two, they refused to do a basic catheter removal despite our being told by multiple doctors that any urgent care facility SHOULD be able to conduct this as its not a surgical procedure nor invasive in any way.Any general doctor should be familiar with removing it. But they adamantly refused to do so. And we were desperately searching for a doctor to do this since we couldnt find a proper urologist who accepts his insurance - and he has reached the deadline for removal. This is not the first time weve been to this facility and experienced a lack of urgent behavior from the staff. Why this facility is classified as urgent care is anyones guess.
This is the closest immediate care facility to my home, and I’ve taken friends here a couple of times before. Then I got sick and needed help on a Saturday. I made an appointment online for later the same day and also checked in online. Very speedy and easy. As time got closer to my appointment time I got a message letting me know what the wait times were. Nice! The staff is very nice and friendly, and I felt at all times that the entire care team listened to and registered my concerns and that I was receiving very good and professional care. I highly recommend this care team.
Had a great experience here. Scheduling an appointment online was super easy and didnt have to wait super long to be seen. The staff was very respectful, compassionate, and helped me with my sinus infection. The facility was bright, clean, and felt safe.
I went to urgent care after a week with tooth pain. I had a procedure with my dentist a month ago, but a week ago, a tooth started to hurt. I visited twice this week the dentist but he didn’t prescribe anything, so I went there to have another opinion. They prescribed antibiotics in case it was an infection. I felt heard and seen. Thank you Patrick.
Prompted to do another Google review for this clinic and pleasantly surprised that my last review still applies. No edits necessary-I have had to utilize this clinic a few times over the last couple of years. Each time the experience gets better. They seem to be doing constant process improvements. Yesterday was my latest interaction. I scheduled my appointment online, showed up as instructed and I waited a short time to be seen, treated and released. Whole experience in under under a 1/2 hour. Easy peasy.
They were all very kind and I was able to speak in Spanish to explain my pain. Thank you very much!!
I had an excellent experience at Physicians Immediate Care - Edgewater, specifically with PA Patrick. The care I received was top-notch, and Patricks expertise made the diffuser splinter removal under my fingernail successful. The entire process was wonderful, and I highly recommend their services.
The staff were caring and professional. I appreciated how Dr. Stuckey listened to my description of symptoms and took time to provide insight. My lab results came back much quicker than expected. An overall good experience for quick care.
I had a great experience at Physicians Immediate Care. The check in procedure was easy and quick with pre registration. I set up an appointment time but was able to get in early. The entire staff was friendly and professional. The nurse and physicians were thorough. They listened and asked questions to give the best diagnosis and treatment plan.I would highly recommend this facility if you need immediate care.
I have been a walk in twice as per work. Each time I was seen promptly with amazing customer service. When my girlfriend got sick with the flu I took her there as well. They fit you in and dont bat an eye towards helping you get in and out.
The medical assistant taking my vitals was thorough efficient and caring. Micheal was also thorough, caring & explained everything really well.
Incredibly helpful, went above and beyond for me even though it was incredibly last minute. Made what couldve been a really awful experience easy and stress-free. Thank you so much!!!
I was initially going to wait for my CVS Minute Clinic appointment for the next day for semi-urgent health issue, but I walked across the street and found this place - and what luck I had! I only had to wait for about 10 minutes and the sign-in process was extremely easy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, even though they were short-staffed. And the doctor was wonderful - my condition had no medication treatments, but he gave me great advice on how to treat myself at home. Will definitely be going here from now on for my urgent care needs!
Loyola students go here!! So much quicker and responsive than anything on campus. The staff are so kind and keep the wait times as short as possible while also providing great care. The PA I saw was great and took care of all my concerns and the lady at the front desk was so helpful. Probably the best urgent care I’ve been to. I was in and out in under 2 hours!!
Only waited about 45 minutes for a walk-in appointment. Rachel listened to all my concerns and was able to diagnose me as well as provide recommendations for how to treat some of the more severe symptoms of my case. I’m currently uninsured and for a fairly reasonable flat rate they provided a covid and flu test so I could return to work, as well as the examination.
Receptionist doesnt listen. I explained to her that my insurance needs to be updated in the system h she did not do that. I have received a bill for over $300. She also quoted extremely long wait times with hardly any patients in the waiting area. It seemed like she wanted to deter ppl from coming so she quoted a long time so they would leave. I think I was quoted 1.5hr wait. I was in & out within I hr of arriving because there were hardly any patients there!
I had a good experience during my most recent visit. The physician’s assistant who met with me to assess my abdominal issue was excellent. She asked a lot of questions which reassured me that she was trying to get to the bottom of the issue. I walked in for this appointment and had to wait an hour to be seen but I did not mind at all. They require masks and hand out masks to people who walk in without one even though there is a big sign on the entrance door that states masks are required in English and Spanish. The waiting room also has chairs spaced out to accommodate distancing.
Kudos to the staff at this immediate care center. The receptionist was great and to the point for an expected wait time. The nurse staff and doctor were great as well. The place operated like a well oiled machine. The best immediate care center I have ever been too.
As far as medical visits go, this was great!! All my needs were met and their attention to detail during the exam was refreshing. Katie was awesome!! She knew her stuff and was thorough. This clinic will be at the top of my list next time I need immediate care
I previously rated this location five stars, but Ive gotta lower that now. The staff is always so kind and super patient, and that is wonderful. However, the admin tasks seem to be falling off. I showed up on a Sunday once because their hours online said they were still open--it was closed. My most recent visit, I very specifically asked for a prescription to be sent to a pharmacy that was not on file, but they still sent it there, anyway. These are things that should be easy to do but are out of my control, so its super frustrating.
Absolutely the best immediate care facility ever. Through a broken toe, Covid, shoulder injury & a deep cut needing stitches, these medical professionals and staff are good.*However, I found something near my lymph nodes in Jan ‘24; misdiagnosed as a cold.. it was cancer, diagnosed at the VA the next morning.
I accidentally thought i was making a same day appointment, but when i arrived the desk clerk explained it was for the following day, but that theyd still be able to see me. Everyone I encountered was extremely professional, knowledgeable, efficient, kind, listened to what a had to say, and even provided a referral. Totally worth the visit. Ive been going to Physicians Immediatel care for several years and its definitely my go to place for non life threatening health situations. :)
Staff was great, and got me in super quick! The entire staff was knowledgeable and had a great deal of compassion towards me. Thankful to have them in the neighborhood, and that they could see me so quickly!
The whole team was very nice and helpful. I learned a lot from the doctor/nurse practitioner on duty. I say a big thank you to all of them.
Updating with new information — doctor aggressively insisted I had a cold, but I had flu AI’ve had a fine experience here for relatively obvious problems (like identifying a broken finger).I’ve had much better experiences at urgent cares affiliated with hospital systems. For example, a few years this urgent care failed to treat an ear infection that left me with a much more severe infection a few weeks later, being treated at a different urgent care. This time, the doctor diagnosed me with a common cold, but another urgent care successfully diagnosed me with the flu. I pushed back on the cold diagnosis because I had a high fever multiple days. When I asked how my fever fit into their diagnosis, they told me it’s normal to have a fever with a cold and became very combative. Then, they told me that I’m not currently taking an antibiotic - to demonstrate that I wasn’t “that sick” - even though I told them I am and showed them the list of medications multiple times. I showed him the list again, and he insisted that I’m not taking an antibiotic and was very argumentative. Because this was so strange, I reached out to my PCP who confirmed the first medicine on the list is indeed a common antibiotic. This obstinance was especially concerning because he could have easily prescribed me other medications that would have negatively interacted with my antibiotic. In my experience, they especially prioritize “quick” healthcare, trying to reach a diagnosis as quickly as possible while potentially missing important details. They didn’t even take my vitals.
Always professional, friendly, excellent service. It’s very easy to make an appointment. I actually walked in and only had to wait about 10 minutes. Please feel free to share on your website!!!!!
Super easy checkin process via link provided to phone. Tech was spot on in this context compared to others I have experienced. Reasonable wait time and updates provided via phone. Patrick (doc) as well as the tech were fantastic. Wasnt sure what could be done for my situation but was really not feeling well with a horrific cold (viral). They set me up with meds I didnt anticipate or even knew was an option and Im already feeling better +1 day after visit. THANK YOU!
Excellent. Everyone was friendly, professional, efficient. In and out quickly for a walk in situation.
Going to this place all ended up being a waste of time, went in for a heart related issue and they told me that my electrocardiogram was abnormal so they sent me to the ER, after 12 long hrs in the er they told me that it was normal for young adult males to have a heart rhythm like mine which all ended up being due to stress, everything was good I payed no insurance had no problem up until now when I’ve received a bill from this place for $140 more and no description but “medical services” as the charge explanation when upfront that day I had payed all of it at the receptionist desk I’ll be contacting finance department i just find it ridiculous and absurd that a visit in which they did nothing but scare me to go to the ER anyways ended up costing over $380Update- it’s been a week now that I send my email from your response and no response
I got a little assistance over the phone with making an on line, same day appointment for walk-in, which helped a great deal when normally simple things are not simple when sick……Got seen in a reasonable amount of time and quickly learned I tested positive for Covid. Glad I got seen sooner rather than later and didn’t spend all day waiting in the ER.Saw same doctor a month earlier who was attentive, respectful and knowledgeable.Very happy with the service by entire staff.Thank you for changing my attitude about “doc in the box”.
1. Terrible customer service reps with attitudes2. If you need an X-ray, you’re probably better off going elsewhere. They have a wack system in which the radio tech is traveling and assigned to multiple locations. I had to wait 2.5 hrs for the radio tech for what was a scheduled appointment (and noted as me needing an X-ray). I can understand the traveling part, but the radio tech barely cared about her tardiness. Then later told me that she would have to email me a copy of my initial xray I requested due to it no longer being stored on site. Couple weeks later and still no email, so I called and was told by a rep that they never share images through email and that she would call me back to share how to get it. Didnt get call back so I called back next day. This rep told me radio techs DO send emails of images and she would ask tech to confirm then call me back. No call back again so I called again and she was like “oh yeah, she emailed it”The reps don’t care about calling you back when they say they will but they will give you attitude when you simply ask questions or follow up. They’re not fit for customer service roles
This place provided timely, very thorough, fast and accurate medical services for me.Before I arrive I was miserable. I had a week long prolonged strong and dry cough, it had escalated to a point where it was hard to breathe. Patrick (PA) and Reyna were amazing. Both COVID & Flu tests were performed, after they were ruled out, I was provided a nebulizar treatment for the first time in my life. And I felt better. I could breathe comfortably at least. X-Rays were taken. My diagnosis was a serious respiratory infection. I was prescribed 2 antibiotics and an Albuterol pump. That night I was able to sleep in well, for the first time in a week. The second day after my visit to the clinic was feeling so much better. Cough had significantly diminished, I was breathing comfortably and I was no longer feeling miserable and afraid. I strongly recommend the Physicians Immediate Care in Edgewater in Chicago for urgent medical care. Their staff is compassionate, respectful, friendly and very patient. Very convenient location from might place as well. From now on THIS will be my clinic for any future urgent medical needs. Keep up the amazing work!
Had a great experience with my appointment, but a difficult experience obtaining my test results afterwards. I followed up three days later, when I was told the results would be available, and was told that only the provider I saw would be able to give them to me, that he was not in and they did not know when he would be in again. Posting this in the hopes that I can obtain my test results.
The secretary was very sweet very professional. I enjoyed my time with the Doctor Who was also very professional and very kind. I will keep coming back when I have medical issues when my doctor is not available, thank you.
Patrick Stagg’s medical expertise and dedication to his patient’s care saved me from ending up paralyzed from the waist down. I came into the clinic thinking my sciatica was progressing in a harsh way but he quickly identified my symptoms as a rare condition that if left untreated for even 24 hours could result in complete paralysis from the waist down. He drafted a note for the ER team explaining his prognosis and directed me to go to an emergency room immediately to get an MRI to confirm the cauda equina syndrome I was experiencing. I could never recommend any PA higher than this man and I could never thank him enough.
Wow! This place was amazing. I had tried to rescue a stray kitten the night before and the sweet baby got a good bite of my finger in before heading to the vet, so 24 hours later, I noticed my finger became swollen and infected. I went into this Physicians location around 7:30 last night for help (they close at 8, so I wasn’t sure if they’d take me or not). The lady at the front desk with the curly brown hair up in a bun and adorably done edges (I believe her name was Shardonae?) told me that they were about to close and only had one doctor on staff. She asked me what I needed, I told her about my finger, and she took my info instantly. She was so kind, very competent, and got me checked in as a new patient within ten minutes.I waited in the waiting room for about 20 minutes before getting called in by a young, sweet med assistant who took my vitals. Fast forward 20 minutes and NP Huda comes in to look at my finger. She was so dope! Very informative, very thorough, very easy to talk to. She broke down exactly what was happening with the throbbing was in my finger and took all the measures to make sure this infection would be gone within the week. She ordered me a Tdap shot, antibiotic shot (in the butt holy hell), and wrote me a prescription for an oral antibiotic. The nursing assistants who physically gave me the shots were really great! They propped me when I got whoozy (I hate needles), brought me an ice pack, made the process as quick and pain-free as possible, and even gave me candy afterward. I felt so cared for by one assistant in particular (I believe her name was Reyna Bautista). She was very warm and talked to me as she held the ice pack behind my neck. As a young adult who had never been to urgent care by herself and didn’t know what to expect, she made me feel welcome and at ease. I was grateful to her.All in all, I’m so happy I trusted Physicians Immediate Care’s Edgewater location. It feels good to know there’s quality care by me that I can depend on whenever I may need it. One who accepts CountyCare Medicaid at that!!!!!Thank you staff for all you do!!! You made it the best visit it could’ve been for me!!
The wait was long but it was part my fault I scheduled appointment for wrong date! 🤦🏻♀️The front desk representative was so kind and friendly. The physician thoroughly examined and explained my diagnosis. I was very pleased with her kindness and patience! ❤️
Mark and the Nurse Practitioner, Emma, offered professional treatment. They had pleasant demeanors. Quick visit.
Patrick Stagg was just what I needed when I got into the clinic. Warm, knowledgeable and answered every question. Left feeling so much better!
They do not accept Medicaid, even though they are listed in the provider finder. They stated they have had multiple people tell them they are listed, but they dont seem to care about getting themselves unlisted. I uploaded a copy of my medical insurance card when I made the appointment, but they didnt bother to review it until I got there Sunday night. By that time all the other area clinics were closed. They offered to let me pay cash. What a scam.
The staff was friendly and welcoming. Sam especially was very easy to talk to and I felt comfortable sharing why i was there and asking questions without judgment. I left feeling confident in my treatment and that I received quality care and attention.
The staff at the front desk is not very friendly or polite. Working in a healthcare facility, even as a receptionist, should include compassion towards the patient because they are there for a health problem. I had an appointment and still had to wait a long time. Once I got in, the nurse administering my test wasn’t helpful or communicative with me. The test I was doing was required for work and I’ve never done it. I asked her questions and I still walked out feeling confused and having to Google what just happened. I think this staff has to work on their communication, knowledge, compassion, friendliness, empathy and consideration for their patients.
My daughter was seek so I went to this immediate care and they checked her very nicely and took some test. She got positive with streptococcal infection but they give very good medication to her and she recovered for all infections she is better now. I am really happy that I took her in emergency in this immediate care. Thanks to doctors!
Great quality of care. Friendly staff that were down to earth, kind, and caring.I cant reply to your response below- but yes feel free to use my review :)
There are not enough words to describe the experience that I had at this office. I was a walk-in appointment just about an hour before they closed.I was seen within about 10 minutes of being there and they were not slow by any means . When you go to Physicians Immediate care you are likely going to find, that they give your own personal care physician’s- level a care, a run for their money. From start to finish in every way I was treated professionally I was treated with kindness but above all my condition was taken seriously and the follow up that I received was prompt, and informative. Above all, they did for me what my own doctors office could not - which was TREAT ME. I never thought I’d be able to say this again but it was healthcare at its finest in this little urgent care clinic.Much of my praise goes to the PA I saw there, I believe was named Samantha but everyone that I saw from the phlebotomist to reception and otherwise, were professional and diligent in their duties!I truly thank you all, wonderful experience, even if my circumstances were not. To others… GO HERE, THEY WILL TREAT AND HEAL YOU like a health practitioner should.
The staff is always very kind and professionalhere. My biggest gripe is wait times. I scheduled an appointment for 3:40 but couldn’t get in until 4:05. I was told to “wait in my car until we call you.” However, I walked there. Because of previous experience I knew that it would be a while until it was my turn to go in so I just went home and waited for them to call me from there. Standing outside in 40 degree and raining weather isn’t exactly ideal when you have a fever of over 100 degrees. Still, once it comes time to interact with the staff here, it is always very positive. Despite how busy they are, they always take time to explain everything thoroughly and answer any questions. I feel lucky to have a decent urgent care clinic just steps from my home.
Not only was the wait not too long for walking in, the care I received was kind and complete. The main reason I am recommending this location is because of exceptional service from Shay who was at the check in desk. During my wait time, another client was acting in a way that made others feel uncomfortable. Shay was firm, professional, and persistent in her communication to this client which ensured safety and comfort for everyone involved. It was not an easy situation and Shay’s effort is to be commended.
I went to the Edgewater location this week and the service was excellent. It was quick, clean and the people were friendly. The doctor was very nice and seemed to really care and didnt rush my visit especially in the evening before they were closing. I was worried with my illness and didnt want my 2 kids at home to catch what I had. She showed compassion and wanted to make sure my youngest who is under 1yr didnt get this horrible virus I had. I was prescribed with medication that is clearly working and Im getting better everyday! Will definitely be back if needed and highly recommend this place.
They were understaffed so I did have to wait a bit longer when I got there. I also made that appointment the night before, so it is already great you can potentially get in for help on short notice. I was taken very good care of and they clearly want to help you.
I recently had an appointment at the Broadway physician immediate care center. I was able to make an appointment in advance, and once I got there, I probably waited for no more than 15 minutes before my name was called. The assistant/ technician and physician who attended to my needs were both friendly and professional. All of my questions and concerns were answered. The clinic also appeared to be very clean. Highly recommend this center to anyone looking for immediate care within the Edgewater area.
When I walk into an Urgent Care Clinic with my son who is in anaphylaxis, YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SEARCH FOR THE EPINEPHRINE!!! That is an emergency medicine that should have a specific place and ALWAYS BE IN THAT PLACE. Staff should not have to hunt through drawers and make calls to try to locate it.Patrick saw my son and was great - called an ambulance without waiting for the dust to settle.
Very pleased with my treatment. I found the experience to be efficient. The physician was very thorough and the initial tech was very pleasant
The lady who checked me in, insisted that my insurance was invalid, even though she heard me on the phone with the representative from my insurance company, who stated that my insurance policy is active, and my online account proved active policy. I was only able to be seen AFTER I put a credit card on file. I was too sick to leave. The doctor was very nice. I hope they resolve the issue with the insurance.
They are my go to for immediate medical assistance. Especially when I know i wont be able to get into my regular doctors office for at least a week. The staff here is caring, compassionate and thorough. I have gone there for animal bites, pneumonia, sprains. Etc.
Entire staff was great! Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the process went smoothly--little wait time. I appreciate the doctor and how she listen to my issues and made sure to eliminate any serious illness by recommending we go through necessary testing. Her and the rest of the staff explained everything thoroughly. The office was super clean too.
It was a bit of a wait, but the waiting area was clean and bright and the front office staff was friendly.Once I was seen, both the intake person and the practitioner treated me like I was their only client. They gave me the attention I needed and never made me feel rushed.I was satisfied with the quality of the care as well.
This was quite possibly the worst medical experience of my entire life. Waited 2 hours to be seen and told almost nothing. Told I would get help from their referral team in further scheduling (referral team called and said “sorry, we can’t help you”). Then spoke to some of the most condescending receptionists I’ve ever interacted with who talked over me when I was trying to explain what I needed sent to my insurance company so that I could receive any further care from a different institution. Was put on hold for 10 minutes then told I would receive a call with an answer to questions later, 2 days later and still no call. If you want respectful medical care, I’d just go somewhere else this was awful.
Rachel is amazing!! I had a very painful procedure done on Saturday and she took great care of me. Her confidence and levelheadedness was calming for me. She also gave me some advice about the issues I was having and what to do going forward. And the receptionist with blond hair (I never learned her name) was so kind!! I love this place I wish I could be friends with them, they’re so wonderful!!
Physicians Immediate Care on Broadway in Chicago took great care of me they provided excellent and efficient service. After runny xrays and swabs which from time walked in to leaving 1 1/2 hour. My prescriptions were sent to CVS by time I went there they were ready I was so happy. Went home had soup took meds fell asleep 3 hours woke up feeling much better .Thank PIC you are amazing!!!!!Nancy R
The staff was informative and helpful. The Dr was extremely thorough and answered all my questions.
The physicians, nurses, and staff were fantastic. I had an accident and needed stitches and they got me in quickly, and were very kind and understanding.
Dont bother making an appointment here. I was going to pay out of pocket to get seen. I had an appointment for 1.50 got there at 1.30 at 2.30 I asked what was going on and got yelled at and told not to come back. Complete waste of time. Of course they want people to stay in their rooms so they dont see them sitting around.
My ear had been stopped up for weeks! As a walk in, they had me taken care of within an hour. Lovely people, will definitely be back if I need medical attention!
They are a great and very clean also I’m deaf and they provided for VRI ASL INTERPTER. That is very important to communication with Doctor. They are awesome.
My first visit to this clinic and I was impressed. Very well organized so paperwork was reasonable and instructions were clear. Co-pay was same as the University clinic I usually go to that’s much farther from where I live and gets far worse reviews.PA and Rad Tech were friendly and efficient. Surprised to hear that X-rays wouldn’t be ready for an hour because the radiologist was backed up but appreciated the heads up. After a half hour, the PA offered to phone me with the results so I didn’t have to wait any longer but just the the results came in.The facilities are clean and spacious but the whole place was cold this winters day so I just kept my coat on. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
When you have a medical emergency this is the place to go. Everyone is incredible from the front end personnel to the medical staff. They are knowledgeable professionals who treat their patients with the utmost respectAnd kindness.
Pros: Fast! I walked in at 7pm, left with a positive diagnosis and Rx a little after 7:30pm. Everyone was very friendly.Cons: Front desk person spelled my last name and birthday wrong, which made its way onto my prescription. I caught the phone number error during check-in because I happened to be looking at her fingers, but I spelled out my name and DOB to three separate people, wrote them correctly on my registration form, gave them my insurance card, ID, and credit card... and still had a huge mixup at the pharmacy because they filled it under a Ms Kain 10 years my senior.
